The Zen teachings talk about 'the exquisite taste of plain water'. Have you ever been very, very thirsty? Maybe your were on a long hike, or sick, or working without a break in the summer heat. When you were finally able to drink, even plain water, you remember how wonderful it was. Based in Vancouver, WA, The Exquisite Taste Of Plain Water is an acoustic based duo consisting of songwriters Jimi Evans and Paul Bond(former members of powerpoppers Throwback Suburia). "The goal was to write songs that could be performed with one guitar and a vocal(or two), with special emphasis on the authenticity of the lyric".
Their self titled debut ep has a variety of sounds, from classic country/americana to pop rock and folk. All recorded in Paul and Jimi's 'balcony dive'studio and mastered by Kevin at Nettleingham Audio. Look for The Exquisite Taste of Plain Water on a stage or camp fire near you.
