Greg Sherrod has been singing Bluesnsoulnrocknroll his whole life . Greg has taken the stage with  acts like  Tower of Power, George Porter Jr. Micky Hart and Bill Kreutzmann of The Grateful Dead The Disco Bisciuts  John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band, King's X, Deep Banana Blackout, E.C. Scott, K.D. Bell, James Montgomery Booker T. Jones Johnny Winter Walter Wolfman Washington Russell Batiste Jr and Joe Krown  .  Greg has also led the house band at The Newport Blues Cafe in beautiful Newport R.I..
Greg has put together a new young band of musicians to perform the songs off of his two excellent C.D's Blues For Carrie and The new C.D. Bluesnsoulnrocknroll which was recorded at The  critically acclaimed Dirt Floor Studios and is CoProduced by genius  producer Eric Michael Lichter.                                                                                                                                 In 2007, Greg competed live on national television as part of Michael Bolton’s New Haven Choir on NBC's "Clash of The Choirs." "Clash of The Choirs" was a special reality competition show where five recording artists hand-selected twenty singers from their hometown communities and turned them into choirs.
This experience allowed Greg the opportunity to share the stage with Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Rowland. While working on "Clash of The Choirs," Greg sang back-up for Michael Bolton's performance of "When a Man Loves a Woman" and was part of a sight-reading and fast-study group hand-picked from each choir for a live performance on NBC's "The Today Show" featuring Gloria Estefan.
Greg enjoyed great success with his residency at the critically-acclaimed Blues Night at The Owl Shop on The Yale University Campus in New Haven CT for 3 years, The Greg Sherrod Band plays many private events and functions including being selected to play The Inauguration of Yale Universities 23rd President Peter Salovey.
2014 has been a busy year for Mr. Sherrod. Along with preparing a new C.D. to be called Bluesnsoulnrocknroll, Greg also once again supported Tower Of Power at Toad's Place in New Haven. The Greg Sherrod Blues band also supported The Johnny Winter Band on Johnny's last U.S. show before his passing. In August of 2014 Greg Sherrod performed In front of 25,000 people with The Disco Biscuits during their headlining set at The Gathering Of The Vibes Music Festival in Bridgeport CT. Which also included original members of The Grateful Dead. To cap it off, he spent a week in New Orleans over New Year’s 2015 and managed to sit in with the Joe Krown Trio at its heralded weekly Sunday night gig at the Maple Leaf Bar, trading phrases with Hammond B-3 organist Krown, New Orleans blues guitar icon Walter “Wolfman” Washington and Russell Batiste Jr., who also happens to be the drummer for the Funky Meters.
