Bio
As a quartet of Kansas City storytellers, The Hardship Letters craft musical front porch tales with echoes tracing back to the dust bowl era. With a sound that at times is as spare as the American plains and at times as powerful as a Midwestern thunderstorm, these veteran musicians combine haunting vocal harmonies with hard hitting rhythms as they sing stories of heartbreak and loss, being trapped and moving on, new endings and old beginnings.
