Ladies and gentlemans The Indios new single "Tropical" is out now! A great preview of the upcoming album of this powerful Anglo-Colombian band. This guys are fire on stage and show the diversity of their music mixed with Champeta (Traditional rhythm from the coast of Colombia) alongside the rocky guitars and heavy drums bringing the rhythms to a new level. A great recording made by this young musicians and recreating the sound of their roots up to date.
Certainly this is one of the most captivating bands we have seen this 2016 and most original fusion of traditional Colombian rhythms with a London twist. The Indios were working really hard for long time in their music, playing several gigs aroung London and decided to take a step forward in their music; Thanks to Gareth Finnegan (Studio Llama), the band went away from London life and started recording the upcoming album in a very special place close to nature and their minds just focus on their music bringing new ideas and put everything on the table to organize all their ideas in just one place. Wonderful work and really inspirational way to to a recording project. Now everyone is looking forward to listen the full album but at the moment is still in process, but we brought you exclusively the first single of this production: Tropical! to get into the summer mood and dance this rocky champeta London style.

The Indios music blends upbeat SouthAmerican rhythms with genres as diverse as, funk, reggae and hip-hop, but with heavy guitar tones and a strong indie sound.

The Indios are a London Based band founded in 2014 by friends Juan Contento and Felipe Rojas. Joining them is Rob Webb on guitar, the rare Groove of Kwesi McIntosh on bass and Djibouti born Naomi Jones on backing vocals.
Their music blends upbeat South American rhythms with genres as diverse as, Funk, Reggae and Hip hop, but with heavy guitar tones and a strong Indie sound, they are without doubt a London band.
Their music is a powerful and intoxicating mix of Indie and tropical sounds, the lyrics telling tales from South American culture and history to politics and fictional adventure.
The Indios are fast gaining momentum and nationwide press with a headline gig opening for the Wahaca Day of the Dead Festival on the 3rd November at The Vaults in London, and a UK tour in support of their album release, their energy and infectious grooves can not be ignored. Crowds are going crazy for the heavy dance mix of Colombian ’Champeta’ and the Indie rock sound of The Indios, born through their experiences of living between London and Bogotá, this is truly a band of the UK in 2016 and one that is pushing the new international sound of the city right now.
The Indios have played all around London including venues such as: O2 Islington, Passing Clouds, Hootananny Brixton, The 229 venue, Proud Camden and more.
