Who are The Jackson 4? They are Melbourne’s cool soulful blues and swing jazz Hammond B3 quartet.
The Jackson Four in 2014 were a major hit at The Wangaratta International Jazz Festival, The Mordialloc Food and Wine Festival. Plus, The Eltham Jazz, food and wine Festival. And now in 2015 with the launch of their CD ‘Love The Life’, at the Bruthen Blues and Arts Festival , interest in the band is being generated on the National and International Blues and Jazz scenes. Including airplay on iconic New Orleans Blues, Swing and Jazz Radio station, WWOZ 90.7FM. Also on Blues radio in Chicago. And a favourite of Dave Madison at www.bluesdance.com , San Francisco. With Blues and Jazz programs across Australia currently featuring the CD.
The style is in keeping with the classic 60’s sound of the Hammond B3 organ that the band is centred around. With a range of material from great blues, swing and jazz masters from the 50’s to today. Plus their own unique Blues/Jazz take on modern classics.
