The Jang

Most of the time when one drunk friend says to the other, "Hey man, let's start a band!", the idea doesn't survive the subsequent hangover. For The Jang however, it survived for years.

After witnessing each other play with the bands they were in at the time, as well as sharing the stage during an impromptu collab at the 2015 Goats on Grass festival., founding members Javier and Henry decided to join forces, at the time using the band as a creative outlet for ideas that didn't really fit the bands they were in. Taking centre-stage as the band's frontman and vocalist, Javier Langham delivers the perfect balance of smooth velvet and raw grit. Javi's powerful vocals are solidified by Guitarist, Henry Roebuck's rhythmic guitar style and rich harmony. Keeping things solid down low is the responsibility of bassist, Jarvis Duncan. Jarvis' pulsing bass lines perfectly round off the tight grooves delivered by drummer, Brad Williams.

Since it's founding,The Jang has played extensively throughout Brisbane and the South-East, as well as interstate shows in Byron Bay, and Goat's on Grass Festival in Northern New South Wales. Every show has brought with it its own unique energy, and the boys love nothing more than to engage a crowd, and get them moving by the end of the first song.
