Music, feels, fuck up, sadness (not jolly at all, or is it?), blues, soul… Ooooh yeah, soul!!! It came out of the world, for the world to keep it.
Based in Toronto, ON, "The Jolly Walker" is a project that focus on music, art and all that comes with it. Created around 2014 by Arua (vocal/guitar/harmonica/songwriter), a young man on his twenties and his odd vision about this world, "The Jolly Walker" releases it's first full length album entitled "Home" (2017) and takes a bold step into Toronto’s music scene. Been performing solo acts, in cafes, pubs and festivals around Toronto, like "The Supermarket", "Village Vinyl Emporium & Cafe" and "Trek for Teens".
The album “Home” was recorded in Brazil at Lavanderia Studios, in the most DIY way possible. All the attention and dedication turned into more than four months of recording, looking for the best quality and feeling to it as possible. Arua had a some friends playing a few instruments, but recorded most of them himself. Finally, after some waiting the album is out in all digital stream and store sites.
"Still naive it is, but that’s the fun of it, we’ll get there (us all). The beginning is the search, hell… the search goes ‘till the end. Not so good with introductions... Well, there’s no point in saying too much about what’s not the point… What I'm saying is, go for it, DIY, believe in what you will, don’t lose hope in the hopeless world we live in, something might come out of it, we got nothing to lose.
