Bio
The Leanover is a newly re-formed dreamgroove duo with Ali and Louise.
The band formed in upstate New York when Caribbean-raised Ali was practicing her quantum-questioning tunes with fellow Bard College alums Ethan and Sagiv. They convinced ex-Californian Lou to pick up bass guitar, knowing that she had spent years dancing to krautrock and studying jazz vocals. Overly excited by their ecstatic chemistry, the fledgling group recorded their first EP, Pawn Trouble, two weeks later.
The band was plagued by distance until they were forced to relocate to Montreal in 2017 due recently emboldened immigration officials. Since then, as a bass/guitar duo, Lou and Ali have fallen further into a hypnotic groove-hole of harmonies and contrapuntal riffs. They are currently working on releasing a new set of singles in summer 2017.
