THE LETTER ELLE ANNOUNCES SINGLE LAUNCH WITH ARRAN MCNAMARA AND HOPE D; LISTEN TO ‘THROUGH THE NIGHT’ ON SPOTIFY
After a long awaited release, The Letter Elle is kicking off 2019 with the release of her new single, ‘Through the Night’. The band has shows lined up all over South-East Queensland featuring local and touring acts. To kick off the tour, the local Brisbane artist is holding a single launch at MYX Studios in West End on the 8th of March. The lineup features incredible local acts, Arran McNamara and Hope D.
In addition, ‘Through the Night’ can now be listened to on all streaming platforms via this link. (https://gyro-stream.lnk.to/ThroughTheNight). The track is the first taste of The Letter Elle’s new direction and sound as she takes on more of a producer role in her songs.

The Letter Elle was formed in 2016, with her debut EP, ‘The Girl in the Green’ was being released the following year. The Letter Elle is a unique blend of folk, alternative and electronic stylistic influences. Each track is entirely different to the next, and her latest single, ‘Through the Night’ is the most powerful track yet!

‘The Letter Elle’ is the project of Brisbane-based musician, Gabrielle Emery. Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Gabrielle began playing around South-East Queensland in 2016. She writes about the ever-changing world around her, producing dark, belting melodies. The Letter Elle takes influence from a myriad of styles. Her powerful vocals depict aspects of jazz and soul. Her production work introduces more modern ambient electronics, and she often utilizes folk/rock instrumentation and structures. This diversity produces a unique alternative style that has audiences dancing from the first beat.
In 2015, Gabrielle was hand-picked to represent Australia in the World Championships of Performing Arts, where she took out gold and silver placings in her categories. In 2017, she won the Stones Corner Open Mic Competition - landing her the opportunity to share the stage with Regurgitator, Hemingway and Sahara Beck. Shortly after this, Gabrielle released her first EP and has now followed up with her latest single, ‘Through the Night’.
Gabrielle’s voice is beautifully deep and powerful. She uses her voice to promote her insights on the world around her, writing lyrics years beyond her age. Gabrielle stylistically refers to Sahara Beck and MEG MAC as influences on her work. 'The Letter Elle' is an eccentric powerhouse ready to take the Australian music scene by storm.
