The band was initially started by Craig in 2009, and after having a whirlwind 18 months recording and playing with the likes of Kory Clark, LA Guns, and The Quireboys, not to mention playing in Europe and most of the UK,  he took up the opportunity to become a session musician/lyricist for RC Project, and various other bands.

During this hiatus from Liberty Slaves the call of live performing was too much to ignore and in 2015 with Mark Ogley, the only survivor from the original Liberty Slaves line up he reformed the band, now joined by Ryan Meehan on lead vocals and Dave Ingledew on drums the Liberty Slaves not only picked up from where they left off, but have surpassed it!

From Ryan's “lemmy esque” voice, the wailing guitars of Mark and Paul, the thunderous bass lines of Craig to the powerhouse drumming of Dave, the band has been described as “Motorhead meets AC/DC, sprinkled with The Ramones”
