Born on a sunny afternoon in Barcelona, when "Los 3 Amigos", Demetrius Souza, Diego Brenner and Nerio Pereira decided to rescue old songs from Demetrius' former band Beach Lizards . The idea turned into new songs and the vocal duo, Demetrius and Diego, decided to return to Rio de Janeiro to invite their old partners to register their first 6 compositions of the new project called The Madalyns . Name dedicated to the memory of the "Most Hated Woman in America" : Madalyn Murray O'Hair . An American atheist activist, cowardly murdered in 1995. She was best known for the lawsuit, which led to a landmark Supreme Court ruling ending official Bible-reading in American public schools in 1963. The result can be heard on their self-titled EP released on September 2016. Their songs speak against several social issues, such as Pedophilia in the Catholic Church, Immigration crisis, some personal struggles and wander through various styles such as Psychedelic Rock, Post-Punk , Country, Folk and Grunge. On February 2017, The band has just released a second EP titled: Visca Catalunya!
