The Nameless Citizen is the recording project for Peter Boros. Boros took ten years time off of music. Apparently a chance encounter with an L.A. producer was the impetus that started his four song EP entitled Out Of The Mold.

The songs on Out Of The Mold felt like straight forward alternative songs with different flavors to me with the exception of one song. They were well delivered and fun but I can’t say there were any surprises along the way. On that note the four songs did have a good amount to offer. The production and recording quality is rock solid.

The EP opens with “New Solution (Find My Way)” which is a energy filled atmospheric rock song. Light pads glide against guitar while a tight drum performance propels the song. The song had a single worthy radio friendly quality to it. I thought the lyrics were original enough and vocal performance was solid. The lead guitar work was actually the main attraction for me.

“Insistent Echo” brings down the energy with a song that’s a little more subdued and romantic sounding. The song blends guitars and vocals harmonies while being effectively dynamic. “Wounded But Alive” was a fun song. I just really enjoyed the upbeat energy on this song. The lead guitar was again the winning factor but have to say the drum work is also exceptional here.

“A Little Affirmation” didn’t feel all that connected to the previous songs and veers away from the alternative rock angle. In fact there is a Brazilian aesthetic to this song. The guitar is great and thought it was the most inspired vocal performance.

Boros displays some diversity and talent with these four songs. I’d be interested in hearing some more of his work and maybe a full length will present itself in the future. - Divide and Conquer Music

Still working on that hot first release.

The Nameless Citizens project (a.k.a. The NC’s) is led by Peter Boros from Toronto, Canada. Hailing from a university town of southern Hungary meant easy access to a vibrant music scene and many fellow musicians to play a smattering of styles with, from grunge and pop-rock to funk and jazz. It was here that the concept of Nameless Citizens first formed.

It wasn’t until more than a decade-long incubation period however that a chance encounter finally cracked the shell. An epic road trip of the western United States in 2016 included a random accommodation in Joshua Tree which turned out to be accomplished L.A. producer Kid Tarri’s home studio. With Kid's encouragement and mentoring the Nameless Citizens project was finally set in motion. With Peter recording and mixing most of the instruments and vocals himself over the next 18 month period, the Out of the Mold EP was finally born.

After releasing the EP in 2018 and a subsequent single, Doubt in early 2019, Peter enlisted Specyal T (Canada) on keys, Luis Ramírez (Costa Rica) on bass, and Siddharth Shastri (India) on drums to form a live band in July 2019. The group is currently building its live schedule for the upcoming months while writing material for their debut LP, ‘Signal’, which is planned to be released as a series of singles over the course of the next 12 months.

The Nameless Citizens' mission is to capture key moments in our everyday lives, weaving simple themes and melodies into a complex, rich tapestry of music reflecting the serendipitous nature of life itself. Offering a unique brand of intellectual pop-rock, The NC’s combines influences from rock groups such as Pearl Jam, The Killers and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, the flowing pop-rock of Coldplay and U2, and the cerebral music of Sting and Peter Gabriel.
