Bio
It is a Chinese folk rock band birthed in a hostel of Shijiazhuang, where is highly polluted by industrial waste all year around. Gaining great inspiration from the Blind Melon, the band was named after the daughter of Shannon Hoon in the memory of the hardship in getting their cassettes. Created in the late 90s, the Nico was created to shout out their doubts and confusion under the strict governance of the authority by the topical lyrics and rock instrumentation. They sang, and they got repressed. They tried hard to keep a low profile, while still could not resist the passion inside. In 2002, they came back with a new name 万能青年旅店 (Wan Neng Qing Nian Lv Dian) and gained a considerable number of fans by ‘the less than omnipotent comedy’ in 2006.They are born to be rebels, and they’ve got listeners now.
