The Plain Steel are, by their own definition, Hamilton's premiere Folk 'n' Roll band.
The band originally started in 1999 as a studio project, but over the years, and inclusion of more and more musicians to the project, became a respectable and engaging live act, now performing both in electric and acoustic incarnations.
Their first vinyl LP, named for their unique brand of music, Folk 'n' Roll, was released in 2012. The band has followed it up with the Navigator's Song 7" (2014), Slow Day In A One Horse Town LP (2016), The Plain Steel LP (2018), Hindsight (2020), and Greatest Hits (2020).
