"Sammy British – Do You Remember"

Nothing warms my heart like a good conscious Reggae tune (except maybe some Hot Chocolate with Rum). So as cold as it can get during this winter full of “winter vortex’s” Sammy British brings the heat with the heart warming pro-unity tune: “Do You Remember”, which paints a picture of a happy past in which we all got along. Honestly, my life has never been so care free but hearing him sing with so much positivity in his voice brings a smile to my face, and fills my mind with images of peace. - ONDAFLOR

"This hard working duo is doing their best to redefine musical expression – in their own way and on their own terms."

This hard working duo is doing their best to redefine musical expression – in their own way and on their own terms. Hailing from different cultural backgrounds (Jamaican and Lebanese) and different musical palettes (R&B and Indie Rock), the two have formed an unlikely partnership. The result is something personal, passionate and fun. Their culminated efforts are gearing up for a Spring 2013 release and they are certain you are going to love it. - Indie Mag

Bio

SammyBritish & F.E.M. first came together in January 2012 to do a collaboration on the song "Weekend Time" {unreleased} featuring production by world renowned producer Daniel LaPorte. Both artists had already been in music for years, but the unique chemistry between the 2 performers led them to form the duo dubbed The Pride as a tribute to the lion in the emblem for 8:O'Sics Entertainment Group, the Indie Record Label to which both artists are signed.

The first collaboration released by the duo was titles "Say It To Me" and appeared on F.E.M.'s Jaded EP. The song garnered attentional and critical review from many including Jason Flom himself who praised both artists, as well as the producer on the track. The second collaboration released by the duo was the title track for the Jaded EP. 'Jaded gained incredible success with nearly 70k views on YouTube alone.

Following the success of the 2 songs, including on stage success, the 2 artists decided to work together on a full collaborative album under the stage name The Pride. Since then, the duo has been hard at work in the studio and on stage creating and sharing their new music, taking their career in a new, exciting direction with their electrifying upbeats, mellow downbeats, sensational fusions, and breathtaking live performances that makes you wanna dance, cry, laugh, or just roll your top down cruising on the highway.

The excitement in their music is largely due to their cultural backgrounds, Jamaican and Lebanese. Both artists add elements of their cultures as they create music that fuses multiple genres from pop, hip hop, reggae, dance, alternative and more to create their own sound on and off stage.

The duo has performed as opening act/ supporting act for some big names such as Reggae superstar J Boog, Mark Mendoza of Twisted Sister, Dan Nelson (formerly of Anthrax) and Evan Stanley (Son of Paul Stanley of Kiss).

The Pride is expected to release their first EP in 2014 with distribution by VP Records' VPAL Music under a newly acquired distribution and marketing deal with VP (The top distributor of Reggae music worldwide). Leading up the release, the duo intends to release a series of singles, accompanied by music videos, with the first of these slated for release by the beginning of the second quarter of 2014.

"I lose myself in my music. My avenue of expression of me and my ideas to all who partake in it. I hope you do too. Love it or hate it, I appreciate the audience" - SammyBritish.
