"Now Hear This - Pick of the Week"

Chronicle Herald Jan 08 2015 NOW HEAR THIS - by Stephen Cooke Pick of the Week: The Saunders Brothers Show - Singles. “This has to be one of the more unique hybrids I’ve come across locally; the Saunders Brothers Show combines country, comedy, Celtic, rock and pop as a kind of self-styled variety program. Somehow Singles gave me a flashback to the old Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show of the 1970s with Ed and Terry Saunders and Brian Smeltzer trying anything for a tune or a laugh, singing a love song to a TV Weather Girl or imploring their audience to Get Off Your Ass and Dance. Like a proper variety show, there are also special guests, like fiddler Alycia Putnam on Dumping Day and multi-talented singer/guitarist Christine Campbell on the award-winning tune The Man You Used to Be, plus comic Candy Palmater spicing up Let’s Get Naughty. Not everything works; but you get a sense of what the Saunders Brothers bring to their live show in terms of personality and crowd-pleasing humour between the more serious songs. For more information on The Saunders Brothers, visit the trio’s website, www.saundersbrothersshow.com, or Facebook page.” Stephen Cooke Arts Reporter - The Chronicle Herald

"JC Douglas"

“With a live show that evokes equal parts Loudon Wainwright, Barenaked Ladies, and Benny Hill (Maybe a dose of some naughty Maclean & Maclean)…it would be no mean feat to capture that energy and wit on record. But they’ve done it here with a handful of fun and original tunes. Kudos!”
JC Douglas 89.9 The Wave - JC Douglas

Bio

"The Saunders Brothers Show" is all about engaging the audience to enjoy themselves, participate and if appropriate - keep the bar tender busy! We come from a Nova Scotia tradition of the Kitchen Party - basically a rowdy house party. Over the past 10 years we have developed a completely unique show - funny, lively, up, and celebratory.

Our Most recent album (our third) called SINGLES, expands our musical landscape through musical collaborations with a dozen other great Nova Scotia based artist.

We pride ourselves in having a high level of professionalism and respect for the people we are working with in the music business - we're not kids, we're business people just like you. No egos - No B.S. - We'd like a decent buck for giving you an outstanding show!

"The Saunders Brothers Show" would love to hear from you!
