Bio

Gaining popularity in San Francisco’s competitive live music scene, and now poised to continue to expand their fan base nationwide, the indie rock quartet The Singing Limbs combines various genres and influences into a confluence of unique sounds resulting in a quintessentially colorful and energetic verve that rifles through their songs and live sets.

The Singing Limbs was founded in 2014 as a duo by guitarist and vocalist Cameron Gibbons and percussionist Mike Deluccia. Soon after, the duo expandedinto a quartet by recruiting bassist Dominic Columbini and keyboardist Josh Greenberger, thereby finalizing the formation of the psych rock band.

During the past two years, the band has worked the San Francisco live venue circuit hard, and successfully, with shows at historic landmarks like The Great American Music Hall, Slims, and Hotel Utah.

Studio recordings offer nuanced pocket grooves, while live shows burst with energy and ambitious improvisation.  On March 31st, 2017, TSLs will drop the debut, five-track EP, Mint, which Deluccia contends is  “inspired by influences from psych to surf, soul to rock.”

The band members consider among their biggest musical influences include Dr Dog, White Denim, My Morning Jacket, Black Sabbath, Radiohead,  Steely Dan and Led Zeppelin.

The Singing Limbs name originates from the Greek story of Echo in which Pan, God of ‘the wild,’ sends wolves to tear the nymph to pieces and scatter “her still singing limbs” across the desert.

Mint was recorded and mixed at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco CA over a four-day period in June of 2016. All of the tracks were recorded on 24-track analog tape with assistance from sound engineer Beau Sorenson and mastering from Tim Walsh.

Multiple drum parts on “Dune” were tracked in a home studio, and mixed again at Tiny Telephone. All songs were written and composed by The Singing Limbs.
