The Smokey Crow

The Smokey Crow is a tale about Life and Death. It tells us about the man, his fears and his bravery. Tells us about living in a merciless thunderstorm. A dark land is not made by beasts, but by men.

The idea cames in 2014, when the composer Brankko Siqueira began to create songs with old-west influences. The name "The Smokey Crow" resumes the mystique that surrounds crows as beings that travel through the realms of the living and the dead, and, like all smoke, can not be imprisoned in a cage, in analogy to the duality and freedom of the human being. Everyone needs to fly, everyone tries to escape of their cages.

The songs portrays the man, his fears and his bravery, surviving in a merciless thunderstorm. A dark land is not made by beasts, but men.

The debut album is called "Wicked Heaven", in partnership with Horizon Lab, from the engineer Blaze Santiago. This debut work features the guests of Aldrin Salles on drums and Lin Lithy as the woman singing together. All compositions, as well as the other instruments and main vocals were recorded by Brankko Siqueira.

And always remembers: the crow is the smart legendary bird that lives in the boundaries of death, with free access to both world. A smokey crow do the same, but nobody can hold him in a cage.
