"Cleopatrick, The Space Wizards and Ready the Prince – Live at l’Escogriffe – December 5th, 2018 – Montreal, QC"

" ... Next up was the psychedelic blues group The Space Wizards. Less than two years old, this trio calls Montreal home and the members are William Cote Munroe on guitar and vocals, Johnny Giancaspro on bass and vocals, and Evan Giancaspro on drums. They also played aneight-song set which opened with a song I really liked, “On The Loose.” A couple other tracks I really dug were “Into Space” and “Fill My Cup,” which you can listen to on their Bandcamp page. They played and killed a cover of Jimmy Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child.” They ended their set with a slightly heavier track, “Mind In Tatters,” and the fan-filled audience was stoked. They also mentioned they have a full-length, ten-track album coming soon called Adding Colour which I’ll be keeping an eye out for. I’ll definitely be checking them out again." - Bucketlist Music Reviews

"The Maxwells with Guidestones, The Space Wizards, and Cowboy Meets Pirate – Live at Petit Campus – February 24th, 2018 – Montreal, QC"

Next up were psychedelic blues wizards, The Space Wizards. The blues trio took a dive into a Hendrix-like universe and brought the audience along for the trip. William Cote Munroe (guitar and vocals), Johnny Giancaspro (bass and vocals), and Evan Giancaspro (drums) rolled smoothly through their set, defrosting the crowd with their tunes and some on-stage charm. They had upbeats and downbeats and groovy vibes for everyone get down to. The crowd also got to hear the bands newly released single “Fill My Cup” which has everything from head-bobbing verses to ripping guitar solos. The Space Wizards were definitely my take away band of the night. Keep your eyes peeled for more of their hometown action. You can catch them next in Montreal March 10th at Crobar for Robfest, presented by Grimey MTL. There are loads of other banging acts on that bill that are definitely worth a trip. - Bucketlist Music Reviews

Bio

Initially a four piece band; the group decided to move on as a trio with guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Will Cote Munroe and the Giancaspros, Johnny on bass and Evan on drums, in the winter of 2018. Their unique mix of psychedelia, blues, jazz has so far gotten them invited to play stages such as Club Soda, West Island RibFest in Montreal, Dundas Square in Toronto as well as having being booked by Evenko and Greenland to open for rising stars cleopatrick of Coburg, Ontario. In this short year, they've released two singles titled 'Fill My Cup' and 'Did It Feel Good?' to be included on their full length, ten track album 'Adding Color' to be released early next year.
The album features explorations into modern guitar effects with over driven amps and deep sub bass to capture the impact of the latest wave of Rap and the 808 generation to achieve what is by all accounts considered a revivalist sound with a twist. Backwards guitar solos, songs to give you that live party bump, gentle music about love, the album will dive through the many moods of The Space Wizards and their message of sound.
