The Synthetic Army is a five piece alternative rock group from Toronto, Ontario, formed in July of 2012. Bred and raised on everything from pop punk to funk to indie to pop to a cappella to metal and everything in between, their music is an amalgamation of all the different genres that influence them. Their lyrics offer a thoughtful insight into important themes such as death, hope, desperation, euphoria, despair, love, discrimination, and society. Their debut release is a five song demo, Greater Expectations. The demo was recorded entirely in the dead of night, from dusk to dawn for three nights in a row. Since the online release of their demo in September of 2013, the five high-school students have been working around their schedules to write new music and play local shows with an impressive frequency. They've also been posting videos of live renditions of both original songs and covers on their YouTube channel. The Synthetic Army is always eagerly seeking new opportunities to showcase and share their music with the world.
