Bio

Ray Bryant started playing drums at the young age of ten years, mostly playing in church. It was during this time in church where he was able to cultivate his talent as a drummer. Ray is well versed in multiple genres such as gospel, jazz, R&B and hip hop. Some of his influences stem from percussionist greats such as Clyde Stubberfield, Dennis Chambers, Sheila E. and modern greats such as Robert ‘Sput’ Searight, Tony Royster, Jr., Eric Moore. In 2016, Ray was called to play drums for one of his childhood friends.

Versa started rapping in high school, but got his musical upbringing in church. Music was always being played in Versa home, being brought up on Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, and his mother's favorite, Frankie Beverly & Maze. It was years later when Versa finally got into hip hop music. Listening to Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, and Nas & Lauren Hill is what made Versa fall in love with hip hop. In high school, Versa was challenged to go home and write some rhymes, when he returned to school the following day, he reciting the lyrics to one of his classmates, and they liked it. Versa went home, and rapped for his God brothers and they liked it, and Versa has been rapping ever since. In 2015 Versa put out his first mix tape Retro 11's. Retro 11's was a conceptual project, where Versa took beats from the 90's, and put his spin on them. Retro 11's was well received, and really gave Versa a coincidence boost into the industry. In 2016 Versa put together a show called "Walk In My Shoes," where he linked up with one of his childhood friends.

In March of 2016, Ray Bryant and Versa joined forces and created "The Vices." The Vices, represents all of the wicked emotions and wrong doing, that has happened in their lives, which in turn functions as the fuel to the diversity of their music. Versa is the emcee, Ray is the drummer, and they are accompanied by a keyboardist, bass player and keyboardist to put on a live show like no other. Music genres include R&B, jazz, soul, hip hop and gospel.
