The Youth

Danish band The Youth was formed in Copenhagen back in 2012 by Jesper Jensen (g), Sune Christian Thomsen (d), David Peter Jørgensen (b) and Lasse Tarp (g). Their interest in blues, garage, Rhythm and Blues and beat music were a shared passion and was the first step in starting up The Youth. Their sound is often described as unpolished, energetic, melodic and trashy. Live they’re considered a band delivering honesty and taking people by surprise with a pure energy and spontaneous created shows. The Youth want to be suited and booted, spit out contagious beat music and sweat their asses off. With their heads held high, bodies fully loaded with energy, a craving for the simple and unpolished elegance, desperation toward todays tendencies, songs anyone can understand, a beat everyone can fall in love with, riffs that anybody can sing along with and a groove everybody can feel, The Youth want 60’s music back into the teenage rooms – where it belongs!
Combined with concerts at a great range of danish venues, the band has been playing festivals and clubs around some parts of Europe, until now visiting England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Italy and Spain. More tours are coming up as the band just released their debut LP ‘Nothing but..’.
