The 45's

BandRockCountry

"Kings of Leon on Speed" with a clear Australian core.

Biography

The 45's were originally set in the rural/urban fringe of Perth, WA's outer suburbs. Their tales of love, misery and exstacy are romanticized through Weston's familiar, southern draw. The songs are based on interesting characters in dull situations, which is exactly what The 45's are.

There are clear country/folk influences such as Dylan and Cash in the songwriting yet the finished product sounds more like Sex Pistols meet Pixies to cover them.

The 45's are due to release their debut EP in November this year and will be embarking on a national tour following its release.
