Bio
The 48 were formed in October of 2004 with a view to amalgamating the acoustic styles of the likes of Ryan Adams and Turin Brakes, with driving guitar riffs and a definite funk edge. Since then, the Edinburgh fivesome have released two highly acclaimed CDs (an untitled 5 track demo and the current EP ‘When We Were Kids’), been featured on XFM’s ‘MySpace Cadet’, opened Fresh Air FM’s John Peel Night, been a finalist in Forth and Clyde 1 FM’s ‘Rock Against Racism’ and most recently secured a slot in the final 30 (from over 2500 bands) for the UK-wide O2 Undiscovered competition.
Currently, the band are working on their first full album, which should be available later this year, and gigging around the UK. Feel free to check out the tunes and any feedback is greatly appreciated.
