His Grandfather, Harold Davis, played with The Southland Playboys and with Mel Tillis at the Grand Ol' Opry; while his Grandfather Richard was a preacher and worship leader for many years in Joplin, Mo. His influences include Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Frank Black and David Bowie. He is mostly self taught on the guitar/vocally and has played from orchestra pits to Gospel revivals to good ol' honky tonks. He has two albums out under the name of "Richard and the Pallbearers". His poetry tells tales of deicide against cowardly facless gods to rememberance of things untold. He is the founder of "Walking Through Random Sundays" and has spawned many musical progeny since. His grandfather also played at the Grand Ol' Opry, and he sights Dax Riggs and Jeff Mangum as his favorite artists.
Zachary Scott Pohl - Zachary is an exceptionally talented singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist. He has a degree in music and many years of choir direction to his credit. His songs are full of pure heart, intelligence and power, but they remain accessible to everyones ears and souls. He is interested in Mayan culture and is widely considered to be one of the finest lyricists/vocalists in Texas. He is also greatly inspired by Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, as well as John Prine and Ray Charles.

Lyrics

That Thing About A Girl

Written By: Britton Audette Keene

Do you remember that song I wrote for you?
When I told you how much I loved to be by your side...
And 1,000 miles away can't keep me from missing you
Even with this green beret to keep me some company...

And oh, I dreamt about this
Some night, some year, some decade long ago
And oh, I'm not an angel or a demon
But I'm something in between
I still miss you love, but this is how I'm saying goodbye...

And song after song... oh, the days, they seem so long
Sometimes I can't even drag myself to bed...
And now 10 long years have come and gone
And every year I add another verse to your song
And every night I have to sing myself to sleep...

And oh, I dreamt about this
Some night, some year, some decade long ago
And oh, I'm not an angel or a demon
But I'm something in between
I still miss you love, but this is how I'm saying goodbye...

Now I know that you can hear me singing
Late at night when we're both dreaming
When I fly to your window to sing to you by your side...
And I sing you a sweet lullaby
Across 1,000 miles and 1,000,000 nights
Just hoping that you'll sleep a little bit better than me...

And oh, I dreamt about this
Some night, some year, some decade long ago
And oh, I'm not an angel or a demon
But I'm something in between
I still miss you love, but this is how I'm saying goodbye...

Ragin' Rivers

Written By: Zachary Scott Pohl/Richard Paul Davis

There's something about disaster hidden behind those pale gray eyes. Her past was hazy and her future dim. She told me all her stories from a lifetime of lies. She said jesus had forgiven all her sins.
Her eyes are all swolled up, and she just can't hold up her head anymore. The air is unstable and she is unable to breath .trippin' on her way out the door.
Chorus
Ragin' Rivers where are you runnin?
You can spend the night with me.
You know your honesty becomes you. Let your white waters wash over me.

Verse
She said you got to flirt with death to know exactly what she
s like. Maybe you can meet her some ol' day. Ms. Rivers I'd like to thank you for your sincere polite invite, but I'm afraid it's here that I've got to stay.
Chorus

Ragin' Rivers where are you runnin?
You can spend the night with me.
You know your honesty becomes you. Let your white waters wash over me.
