The 707s

The 707s

"A couple of high speed tough guys from Fort Lauderdale."

"Tougher than a box of tissues."

Formed in the fall of 2010, The 707's began from the ashes of what was once Fort Lauderdale's infamous punk band "The Actuaries" when 3 guys decided that sitting around, knocking back a few cold ones, and listening to punk records on our stereos just wasn't enough; we need to get on stage and do it ourselves too. Originally intending to bring back the vibe of a 77 punk influence like that of the Dead Boys, early TSOL, and The Ramones, our sound changed from 77 Punk Rock and Roll to a full on, all out South-California-hardcore-punk-rock-high-speed-collision thanks to the addition of our drummer DC.

A few years later and we still keep that sound and influence with us as we share the stage with other bands, local and national, such as:

*The Cute Lepers
*Something Fierce
*Reagan Youth
*The Murder Junkies
*Smut Peddlers
*Burning Streets
*Nobodys Hero
*To Be Hated

and dozens more from one stage to the next. One thing this band has learned, long before we got together, was to keep to our DIY ethics which has lead to the recording and release of our first EP and our second, due to be released in early March 2013, all done on our own. Keep an ear and an eye out for us, because this is one ride that we're taking to the end.

We're also proud to announce that we are now apart of the newly founded HATED FOR TRYING RECORDS and have been featured in a 20+ band compilation "Cadence To Valor" which marks the labels first release.

Our newly released EP, "9 to 5", will be the labels 3rd release.

Our single, Florida's Burning, as well as the rest of the "Cadence To Valor" comp can be listened to and purchased here:
