Bio

Thea & The GreenMan are singer-songwriters' Cynthia Stacey and Chuck Willhide. Their beautiful harmony vocals blend with acoustic guitars, keyboards, and world percussion. Both Thea & Chuck began playing at the age of eight and have been playing together for a decade. She may not be his first, but she will certainly be his last. Their musical partnership is a magical blend conceived in the fires of Beltaine.

Thea was raised in a traditional Seminole Indian Village on the banks of the Miami River. She spent all of her childhood summers in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina playing guitar and singing around the campfire. She moved West to California after a traumatic divorce and then to the Southwestern Desert to work with indigenous healers from all over the world as the Executive Director of Resources for World Health. As a result of these influences, images of Native America, rivers, mountains and canyons weave their way through her songwriting. Her lyrics are socially conscious and empowering; her love songs poignant and deep. Traveling extensively she has performed to audiences across the US, Canada and in Europe.

Chuck, affectionately known as "The GreenMan," was born on May 1st which is the Festival of Beltaine, also known as GreenMan Day. He began his professional career performing in rock bands in Pennsylvania before moving to Highlands, North Carolina where he worked at The Mountain, a Unitarian Universalist Retreat & Conference Center. He has performed in venues ranging from concert halls to churches and healing retreat centers. His voice is compelling and beautiful. He began writing songs at age seventeen and has found inspiration from a varied group of contemporary songwriters. Chuck's music is heartfelt, sincere and focused on heart centered spirituality.

Thea & The GreenMan have the same folk-pop appeal as John Denver, Judy Collins, Dan Fogelberg, Joan Baez and Peter, Paul & Mary.
