In late 2008, The Abandoned headed to Starlight Studios (Atlantic Records, Warner Brothers, Rise Records) in Orlando, FL to record two tracks, one entitled "The Fountain", the other "Revelation". Starlight Studios has produced many signed touring acts such as Trivium, Agraceful, VersaEmerge, Sound We Sleep, The Burning Season, and Run Kid Run.
In June of 2009, we went in the studio with Jeremiah Dunlap (former front man of The Sophomore Attempt) and recorded a single entitled "The Fighter's Anthem". After having our song mixed and mastered by Paul Lapinski, we were overwhelmed by how everything turned out. Paul Lapinski has been doing this for about thirteen years, racking up clients such as Alicia Keys, Evergreen Terrace, Puddle of Mud, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Yellowcard, and hundreds more.
With thorough satisfaction, we will be going back into the studio on July 18th to record a six-song EP, set to be released at the end of August.

Setting out to make their mark on the music scene in early 2008 by forming what would become one of the heaviest bands out of Jacksonville, FL, The Abandoned has set themselves up to be one of the most promising unsigned bands out of Jacksonville since Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
Adding a third guitarist in late 2008 to establish themselves separate from their predecessors in the hardcore genre,and to push the boundaries of what it means to be a melodic metal core artist. It's clear The Abandoned is not settling to be just another band amongst their peers.
Striving to capture even the most skeptical of listeners and pushing all boundaries aside, it's safe to say The Abandoned is a band worth watching and listening. Even lyrically The Abandoned continues to push the envelope by encouraging thought beyond the basis of Christianity.
"We're not here to kill all who oppose Christianity, if anything we want to inspire hope. To let kids know life does get better and things can change. Myself and the other guys have gone through many of the same things other kids are facing today and the lyrics are just our way of sharing how our faith helped us through."
**This band exists to glorify Jesus Christ. To spread the news that he is here to not condemn the world but to save it. To let those people whom have been abandoned or forgotten by society or by even the local churches that there still is a real God who is passionately seeking a relationship with them. Our desire as a band is that you as the listener would see that through our lyrics and that we as a band may never forget.**
