Ariel Chelsea Ford is a mogul in the making. The 16-year-old hip-hop artist/model/actress is only a junior at Allen High School, but she's already on her way to knocking P. Diddy off his entrepreneurial pedestal. She raps, models, and attends theater classes now, but someday soon, she wants an empire of her own, including record deals, clothing lines, and acting roles.
Ford, who performs under the stage name "The AC," writes her own rhymes and brings a positive energy and message to the stage, drawing inspiration from the music of local hip-hop muse Erykah Badu. "Her music is very soulful, and that's what I like to bring out in my music," says Ford.
Ford's talent and stage presence are drawing attention. She was recently named a finalist in the Texas 10 Under 20 competition for young singers and songwriters at the Texas International Guitar Festival, and most recently, she was asked to perform at the Women's Museum at Fair Park at the Texas Girls State Fair.

The AC is my stage name which symbolizes my first and middle name, Ariel Chelsea, but it also represents my electricity or the overall positive vibe I give off when I’m amongst people. Since the age of eleven I have taken a huge interest in hip-hop.
I was first inspired to pick up the mic when I was introduced to several phenomenal artists such as Erykah Badu, Rakim, Nas, and Lauryn Hill. I was instantly overcome with the desire to pursue a career as a hip-hop artist. To live up to this goal I am constantly in the studio recording. Since the summer of 2005 I’ve been working on my first album entitled “Ac Got Flow” with the help of my dad/producer “The Latest Craze”. I’ve already acquired several fans to help, “{keep} me motivated and determinated to terminate” any obstacles that get in my way. Doing’ it just for the fans!
