Acoustic Mafia Review

by: Robb Hartlen Morning Jock 'The Wolf' 95.7

"... a sound purely their own... magic is performed on ANY stage they
play"

I have had the opportunity to experience the AM (Acoustic Mafia) on numerous occations. I am still blown away that there is only 2 members of this group. With a sound as rich and diverse as theirs, I always expect to look up and see the stage filled with musicians.

The music world is full of music. Now I know this sounds redundant, but let me qualify that remark this way; Any one can play music, but that doesnt make them a musician. Sean Burgess is a musician. He cares for what he is singing. He makes every song his own, even the covers. He embraces
the audience with his vocal ability and leaves them wanting more. Mike fills in the show with a skill and ability that is second to ... well,
second to not many. Together they are a band worth watching. In a world of posers, it is good to see the real thing.

As a radio host, I look forward to playing their original material, as a
member of the audience I just look forward to watching them work on
stage!!

From rock, to classics, fast or slow... The Acoustic Mafia has it all!

Bio

From the ashes of one of New Brunswick Canada's heaviest rock bands, Sean Burgess and Mike Dunn emerged on the busy music scene in 2004 with a strong and loyal following to their unique acoustic solo project. Taking what they considered the gems of classic rock and a mixture of todays hits, they transformed the sound into an intimate and interactive evening with the fans much like the VH-1 Unplugged sessions made popular by MTV.

During the summer months in New Brunswick, Mike and Sean stick to an exhausting itinerary which saw them perform 63 shows in the summer of 2006. In the fall and winter, they write originals and record with a solid schedule of club appearances to keep the fans happy. With a CD release set for this year and their new association with Sonicbids online, the duo hope to have a mainstream following by the summer of 2007.
