Bio

The legendary Action have reformed and are playing together for the first time in 30 years. The band has just released their "Complete Punk Recordings '77-'78" album on Sudden Death Records in Canada and the US, and on Rave Up Records in Europe (vinyl). The saga of The Action began in Ottawa Canada in early 1977. Guitarists, The Fenton brothers, John and Paul, formed the band and soon recruited Ted Axe on vocals and younger brother Michael on bass. Drummer Shot Spot completed the line up and the rest is Canadian punk history! After appearing in New York's Punk Glam magazine "Rock Scene" when they played CBGB's, the band was snatched up by 60's Montreal singing star, Tony Roman, who signed them to his "Montreco" label. Montreco was out to exploit the band and the new genre. While The Action's management secured them opening slots on tours with The Ramone's and The Strangler's, they were also ripping them off. After firing their managers and label, they became entangled in contractual red tape. Unable to sign with a new company, the band floundered and eventually disbanded in '81 never to achieve their full potential......until now! The Action are back to take their rightful place as contenders for the Punk rock throne! Management/Representation:Rawkin' Brawd Representation-http://www.rawkinbrawd.com
