The After Hours

Friends since childhood, Mark Thomson(guitar,keys, vocals) and Dylan Day(bass, vocals) first met each other and bonded over their passion for raiding their parents David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix records.The two started discovering contemporary artists that combined the love of vintage and modern sounds, such as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Black Keys.
Jake "Absolutely" Faultless(drums) knew the two from high school, He started jamming with the duo after graduating, in a repair garage after hours.
This combined with an interest in the storyline and sound effects found in an episode of the 60's sci fi tv show The Twilight Zone titled "The After Hours", gave the band a name that fit the sound they made.

They started jamming out songs that put you into a different state, with guitar beeps and buzzes, that when layered with heavy bass grooves, and pounding drums creates a hypnotic sound that is The After Hours.
In two late night sessions in late 2012 they recorded 4 songs at Ryerson's Rogers Communication Centre which is set to be released in late March as a demo
