Bio
The Agent-K Quartet is best described as Impressionism Jazz, a form also described as Avant-Garde and sometimes also referred to as Free Jazz. Influenced by records like "Bitches Brew", this band prefers to call their songs "Movements". Up to a certain level the pieces are laid out with nothing more than a sketch, but this sketch is guided and influenced by specific tempos and tonal changes guided by the bass and trumpet.
Formed originally in 2001 by Kenny Cordova, the band only performed a handful of shows till its reincarnation in 2007. On August of 2008 they entered the studio with producer Aaron Fishbein and were finally able to document some "movements". These recordings will be available on digital format and CD's in limited quantity on July 2009. The bands current goals are booking some dates in Europe and returning to the studio as soon as possible to document more of what they call, "Movements".
