Today on 414 Music, we had THE AIR ON EVEREST in studio for a live performance. This Milwaukee rock trio, has been together since 2008. The released their debut album NEAR THE END in the summer of 2011. Since then, Billy, Chase and Jesse have been writing more songs with the hope of releasing a follow up album in 2012. - Jordan Lee

Instead of studying for what anyone else would consider a 'real' occupation, vocalist/guitarist Bill Marquardt and drummer Jesse Matusek put their time in college to use by forging their own interpretation of Alt-Pop-Punk, The Air on Everest. Shortly after gaining new members guitarist John Furey and bassist Chase Allen, they released "Near The End" under Sweet Sounds/Republic, bringing worldwide airplay to songs "Your Own Disaster" and "Say What You Will" and introducing the Waukesha band to the main stages of Cornerstone and Summerfest. In 2012, the band rose higher still by winning 103.7 Kiss Icon and nominated "Best Milwaukee Song" by 88.9 Radio Milwaukee with "Until August Comes."
