A regular performer on the Portland, Oregon Blues circuit for the past five years, the Alan Benson Band has been a “house band” for several years at one of the Northwest’s premier Blues establishments, The Tillicum Club. The band also has the distinction of being one of the very few acts selected to play twice for one of the top Blues Associations in the United States, The Cascade Blues Association. A tremendous honor for the band was being chosen as a “2006 Journey to Memphis” finalist and playing at the largest Blues Festival west of the Mississippi river, the legendary Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival. Along with playing several other festivals and large corporate functions, the band has opened up shows for the legendary James Cotton, a seven time Grammy nominee and performed live on television for KATU AM Northwest. Over the years, the band has developed a reputation of being very professional and is frequently hired more than once because they’re so easy to work with and happy to accommodate requests. Highly recommended for any type of festival or company event, this band is sure to light a fuse under your seat with an electrifying set of Blues classics and a slew of original songs that are sure to become your favorites. Being a three piece band, they require a minimal amount of space and provide all of their own brand new “state-of-the-art” JBL PA system, which allows you to obtain an excellent live band at an affordable price!
