Bio
The Alan Crawford Band are a Blues/Rock band fronted by the talented Alan Crawford. This young blues guitarist, now based in Merseyside, has developed a gutsy, passionate style of his own that has impressed audiences in the UK. The powerful rhythm section, namely Graham Brighouse on Drums and Nick Skelson on Bass, compliment Alan's playing with their relentless drive and raw energy.
The band members are experienced performers, influenced by such musical greats as Cream, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Rory Gallagher. There is a natural chemistry between the band members that comes across at every show, giving each song its own dynamic personality.
The band was formed in Nottingham in 2007 featuring Pete Pearson (drums), Johnny Frith (keyboards / Hammond organ) and Ian Mardell (bass) (later replaced by JJ tombs). The band earned a reputation on the live scene in the Midlands and went on to support, Walter Trout in 2007 and perform at Nottingham Beer Festival in 2008.
After moving back to Merseyside, Alan recruited a new line up consisting of Graham Brighouse and Nick Skelson and moved forward as a power trio. Two short months after forming the new line up, the band recorded an eight track demo at Attic Studios, Warrington, to showcase their hard edged blues rock. The demo was recorded live, no overdubs, no out-takes, no corrections, no rhythm guitar - all the solo's are LIVE, as nature intended us to be - have a listen on this page!
The band are now taking bookings for 2009 and starting to collaborate on their own material.
