Bio

The dying days of 2008 saw the birth of "The Almighty Fallen". Drawing on a wealth of musical experience, live performance and expertise, were hungry to produce a fresh and exciting slant on the indie/gothic rock crossover. Lifelong friends, and musicians, Phil Dixon and Joe Goudie, tired of the endless commercial rock offerings of major labels, spent many long Winter months in the recording studio. Endlessly writing and recording until they at last came up with a sound they were happy with but, was also very different from anything else out there!

Now happy with their songwriting formula the songs came almost effortlessly, while using session musicians to record the song demo's they set about the difficult task of auditions. The drummer was an easy choice, Marc 'cupcake' Cumming from Joe's old band 'Burnin' Kisses' rock solid and 100% reliable. With the rhythm section now solid, the band reacted quickly by recruiting Andy McCallister into the line up. Andy was exactly what they were looking for bringing dark, driving riff's yo the equation. Lastly, "'The Professor' Matt Rice on was drafted in and brought with him his own brand of keys and strong backing vocals. Also Matt was a talented studio engineer giving the band more power and direction in the studio.

The Almighty Fallen command the stage with driven drums, menacing guitars, haunting keys, melodic vocals and festival conquering anthems. All material is written, recorded and produced "in-house" by the band ensuring, as in the glory days of true rock, the public gets what the band want. The band's vibrant live performances have branded them apart! Their deliverance of hard rock drums, fuelled with r'n'b mashed beats, a half breed of meshed piano chords with melodic counter parts provides the groove behind the band's sound and the powerful melodic vocals ensures the audience leaves with choruses ringing in their ears.

Currently The Almighty Fallen are locked away in the studio carefully but manically crafting their first album. Once again trusting the saintly Danny Kingsbury with the artwork of the new single and younger brother Kurt with the daunting task of the animation for the record. The boys have also promised to revisit "Bittersweet' a video slide show that captured the interest of Amnesty International. The band quite deliberately offered this work up to challenge common thought as to what is perceived right and wrong. Maybe more appropriately, who is right and who is wrong! As usual and in keeping with the bands strategy.................. You are FREE to draw your own conclusions!
