Hailing from the Great Pacific N.W., The Alvins found a love for the raw power of guitar based Rock n' Roll at an early age. The Alvins were officially formed in January of 2010 by long time friends John Hitt and Shane Blem. Shortly following they had the privilege of being introduced to Kevin Younkins and Brian Henry, which completed The Alvins 4-piece line up. Having just completed their first full length, self produced album, they are getting back out to share the love on stage.
Their original, yet modern approach to classic rock n roll, is driven by the down and dirty guitar grit reminiscent of the 70’s. On that powerful engine of guitar grit, a throaty growl of melody and harmony rides high, accompanied by the rumble of classic blues harmonica and organ. The addition of keyboards inspired by electronica adds an innovative, hypnotic, and alluring nod to the 80’s.
