"Having racked up hundreds of hours onstage in nightclubs and bars before she was old enough to drink, Amanda Waggener departed Michigan in hopes of finding a musical combo to play her brand of soulful blues-rock. “I regret not getting out of there sooner and moving to a bigger place with a better music scene.” In San Diego, Waggener formed a writing and production partnership with Poway singer/guitarist John Naylor. “Musically, John’s guitar and writing style gives us our edge, with a retro flavor and lots of hooks. Lyrically, I write about life experiences such as heartbreak, observations, and of course love. Amanda is a singer/songwriter who is a veteran performer of well over 1,000 live shows. She has shared the stage with international recording artists such as Jonny Lang, Jeff Healey and Robert Cray, and has proven that she belongs on the big stage. With a magnetic presence and a powerhouse voice, Amanda sets the standard for any singer/performer today. Drawing from the diverse worlds of Blues, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, and Pop music styles, Amanda commands a huge repertoire all delivered with the utmost artistic grace! Amanda released her debut CD at the age of 17 and is currently in the studio recording her second, due for release in 2011.
