Bio

The American Dream formed in mid-2010 as Zachary, Trevor, and Bradley left the metal scene to pursue a new musical sound. They had each played in bands together for years, and while they were nervous to leave their underground roots, they had different ambitions than they had years before. Jeffrey, whom the three knew from mutual friends, was added to the group not long after, thus forming the current lineup.
For several months, the band struggled to define their new sound, but worked hard to find a style that incorporated both their musical experiences and their ambitions for the band. After playing around with a few styles, they found their niche and began writing as many songs as possible in hopes of releasing an album sometime in the near future.
In late fall of 2011, The American Dream teamed up with Mark Densford of High Hat Entertainment (Louisville, KY), who brought years of management experience into the picture to help lead the group in the right direction. This guidance made it possible for the boys to produce and release the music video for their first single “Shut Your Mouth” in early January of 2012. Densford’s sound advice paid off as the video saw over 4500 views in its first four weeks on YouTube. Finally, in mid-February of 2012, The American Dream released their debut album, Can You Feel It? after spending a little over a year in Madden Studios (Clarksville, IN) working tirelessly to write the best songs they could.
While their fans love listening to their songs online and spreading word about the band and their music, it’s The American Dream’s live show that really packs the punch, gets the fans going, and brings in new fans who have only heard the band and want to see them live. The stage presence and musical energy of these four men makes it hard to stand still during the show, and the swagger of The American Dream will have you swooning by the end of the set.
