"Try - The Artist"

Formed in Boston, MA, Try are a band with unique blend of electronica and rock music, and this song, The Artist is certainly a good combination of the two. The band have been getting a lot of attention locally through Reverbnation, and certainly a band to keep an eye on in Boston as they build their fanbase.

The Artist opens with a big riff, and the beat is pretty good throughout, with some good musicians who know how to work really well together, and the changes in melody throughout the song, shows the expertise this band have – The Artist, really shows just how good artists this band are.

Vocally strong and well written with some catchy lyrics that will get this song stuck in your head, The Artist is a good sign of what is to come for this band, with some tight musicians and some great guitar work, that really sets this song up to be great. I look forward to what comes next for Try, who have definitely made a track worth giving a listen to.

You can listen to The Artist, via Try’s Bandzoogle page. - Thinking Lyrically

"‘Final’ performance for Kara DioGuardi’s Berklee students"

Kara DioGuardi’s Bootcamp Showcase at Cafe 939 wasn’t just a concert, it was also a final exam. The Berklee College of Music students who participated in the Monday-night show are all enrolled in DioGuardi’s artist development class. They’ve spent the semester preparing for performance night working as teams of artists, songwriters, and producers. DioGuardi will critique their work next week. DioGuardi, a former judge on “American Idol,” has written songs for Ashlee Simpson, Pink, and Britney Spears, and helped discover artists such as Jason Derulo. She’s been teaching at Berklee since 2012. - The Boston Globe

"TRY - The Bandwidth Daily Interview"

"Another big moment for us was playing Warped Tour with some of our friends from high school. With our band Try, we recently played Kara DioGuardi’s Boot camp showcase at the Red Room @ Cafe 939 ... "

BANDWIDTH DAILY: Congrats on your growth! What inspired your creative path? TRY: We [Conner Edmunds and Dylan Edmunds] have been rocking out on a variety of instruments since we were 12 and 13 years old. We came from a house that was rarely silent, where each family member explored an instrument of their choosing. The first concert we [Conner and Dylan] experienced was a sold out Bon Jovi arena show in San Jose, California. The way he was able to create such a positive atmosphere and light up the faces of thousands of people in a matter of seconds was our initial inspiration to pursue music.
BANDWIDTH DAILY: The music business is a roller coaster, what are some of your proudest moments? TRY: In middle school we got to close out the talent show, where some of the other acts of the night included: hula-hooping, Irish dancing, light saber duels and karate battles to the song “Kung Fu Fighting” (by Karl Douglas). We got to play Panama by Van Halen with our best friend Danny on guitar. The crowd went nuts and we actually ended up signing autographs for a bunch of kindergarteners. It was the rock n’ roll dream. Another big moment for us was playing Warped Tour with some of our friends from high school. With our band Try, we recently played Kara DioGuardi’s Boot camp showcase at the Red Room @ Cafe 939.

BANDWIDTH DAILY: Building and keeping momentum are critical to success, what new music or events are on the way? TRY: We’re releasing our second single entitled “We Could Rebuild It” on April 25th, and have a music video in the works. If you follow us on Instagram [try_gram] you’ll find pieces of unreleased songs and other cool content. We’ll be announcing summer shows soon (say that 5 times fast) on social media. - The Bandwidth Daily

Finding a spot on our Top 40 in its first month of competition, “We Could Rebuild It” is the debut single by The American Indie.
