"Casey Phillips"

"The American Tragedy's exquisite CD is complimented by an explosive live show and finished off with genuine professionalism usually found at the theatre & arena level. Driving guitars that hook the hard rockers balanced by beautifully melodic songwriting that keeps the girls dancing in the front rows."
-Casey Phillips, Infectious Publicity New Orleans, LA - Infectious Publicity

"Program Director KTUX"

“The American Tragedy is best experienced live! The American Tragedy are a sonic assault that knocks you to the floor like a cinder block to the chest, then lifts you back to your feet with vocal and guitar harmonies that split the heavens like a band of angry angels.” -Kevin West, Program Director KTUX 99X Shreveport, LA - Kevin West

"Paul Cannell -KOOJ"

"THE AMERICAN TRAGEDY is a breath of fresh air in the wake of the hardcore/thrash sound that seems so prevalent in the Shreveport music scene. Aggressive and powerful, yet very accessible. Well crafted songs, an amazing sense of dynamics, great musicianship, and a stellar vocal performance - these songs stand up to anything I've had come across my desk in a long time. THE AMERICAN TRAGEDY could well be the band that puts Shreveport on the rock map."
- Paul Cannell, Program Director, KOOJ Rock 93.7 –Baton Rouge, LA - Program Director KOOJ

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The American Tragedy launches national tour in support of their third full length release, No Formula.

The American Tragedy, an independent modern rock band from Shreveport, Louisiana, will embark on a national tour in support of their third self-produced, full length CD, entitled, No Formula. Recorded live at the 516 Soundstage in Shreveport, No Formula offers sixteen tracks of raw energy rock and roll, as exciting and explosive as an intimate, live performance.

Unsatisfied that their first two albums achieved the intensity of their live performance, The American Tragedy disregarded heeds from Record label executives to adhere to specific formulas typically found in modern rock and roll which often produces a generic and unoriginal sound. Instead, they simply recorded a live performance in the controlled environment of a sound studio. The resulting sound is surprisingly energetic and quite electric; and it is because of this energy that The American Tragedy has gained a national reputation for being a major force in the future of Rock and Roll.

Over 50,000 miles of touring under their belt this year alone and two studio recordings behind them, The American Tragedy has sold over 10,000 CDs nationwide. “Why Things Burn”, from the band’s sophomore album, was the most requested song on Shreveport’s KTUX for two straight weeks in 2002, and featured in R&R Magazine. The American Tragedy has also appeared on the USA network show, Farmclub Live, hosted by Matt Pinfield. With a true “DIY” ethic and a live show that has gained notoriety throughout the country, The American Tragedy has graced the stages of such venues as The Whiskey A Go Go in Los Angeles, Fitzgerald’s in Houston, and the House of Blues in New Orleans, sharing the stage with the likes of such acts as Staind, Godsmack, Bowling for Soup, Death By Stereo, Thursday, Saliva, and many others.
