Bio
Born into a very musical family first memories included singing songs with his mom; he started writing songs, and playing guitar seriously from the age of 14. Andrews parents were major influences in his music talents and he credits them for all of his accomplishments.
"My Mom was the school music teacher, and my Dad is a classically trained guitarist. I was hesitant to learn guitar at first, but I quickly realized that if you play guitar the girls will listen. [Andrew laughs]"
Andrew honed his singing and songwriting skills during his residency (late 2008 - early 2010) as the Sunday night 'entertainer' at Dylan O'Connors in Winnipeg and around the campfire with friends. Andrew also spent 3 years as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Wallace Avenue; a rock/blues/indie band based out of Winnipeg.
Currently Andrew has been recording new songs with his new management/recording label Justin LaPointe Music in Victoria, BC. Andrew is set to release his first solo EP in 2013 and is currently playing shows with his new band, coming soon to a city near you!
