It was 15 years to date when a band has decided to vanished in hiatus, after their successful world tour in 2000 - 2001. One of Germany's leaders (medias and fans apparently titled them legends) of guitar oriented Gothic music for over 25 years, The Angina Pectoris, based in Stuttgart are back incredibly fresh with their latest album “Seven Year Itch”, release in 2016. In parallel an exclusive comeback show at WGT in Leipzig, the largest Gothic festival on this planet, on 13th May 2016. Thereafter followed up by another world tour starting September onwards. Never we need to forget to mention, the brainchild Joelen Mingi on vocals, 12 string guitars, (lead) guitars and keyboards himself, together with band’s long term second generation guitarist Jay Phoenix, Peter Svoboda on guitars, Volker Pehl on bass guitar and drummer Sascha Wagner. The band has shrinked back to 5 piece yet mightier than ever with a package full of excellent musicians on board, thus the who-is-who in Stuttgart music scene. A solid foundation of individual personas in same band. This mixture seems uncommon, but one thing is for sure… they are back in full blast.
