The best kept secret in music

"Feature Band"

The Anix- Los Angeles, CA. Exciting, hook-oriented blend of alternative rock, pop, nu-metal, synth & new wave. Think Depeshe mode, The Cure crossed with the likes of Linkin Park, Orgy, Zeromancer, etc. Supporting the 12 song Album An Illusion Of Time, which was produced by band member Brandon Smith (vocals, guitar, programing). Has a strong & loyal fanbase, which includes David Silveria(Korn), All Access Magazine, KROQ. Was reciently voted by 96.7 KCAL as one of the Top 5 Unsigned bands. - Kings of A & R

"The Anix Album Review"

While the amalgam that is British New Wave Synth Rock is not a venture into the unknown by any stretch, it has a pretty well established niche in modern rock and it stands to reason that in the genre would have to adhere to the rules as dictated by its predecessors. What does rules exactly are is open to debate, but I think it's safe to say, Melanie and lyrical content would pretty much round out the top of any list. in regards to quality music. Good thing for Rancho Cucamonga’s The Anix, because that is , forte. Singer/synth guitarist Brandon Smith sounds a lot like Robert Smith of the cure song accent. Oscar Gutierrez brings play a feeling to the usually sterile electronic drums while guitarist Bryan Lareau and bassist Chris Yarbor will often change instruments to add texture layers that seep well into your memory and are quickly stored in your dome piece. under “ songs that are dope”. At times, the synth laden tracks seem to cry out for more of an organic feeling but Smith's earnest lost love confessions bring out an instant almost retroactive familiarity to the already heady arrangements that make tattered categorization a futile exercise. The strength of itself produced, releases almost overwhelming, and it sounds better, both in conception and delivery than most slow being pushed down our throats, but it on the wagon now, because the skinie’s best band won’t be a secret for long. Don't be surprised to see these guys can climb in the charts very soon. - Skinnie 'Zine

Feeling a bit camera shy

With layers of high-density, pop-laden melodies, the Anix, are an atmospheric 5-piece band taking the industry by storm. Blurring the lines of alternative rock, pop, nu-metal, acoustic, electro pop, synth rock and new wave, the Anix have created a genre that is uniquely their own. With an average of 30,000 daily hits on their website, sponsorships/endorsements (Ibanez, Trojan Condoms, Sha Sha shoes, Magnum caseworks) and a development deal with Capitol/One Iron Records with distribution through Universal, the Anix are a breath of fresh air to the current musical environment. Having shared the stage with Disturbed, Evanesence, Chevelle, Kid Rock and Nickelback, the Anix will soon manifest their own destiny as a top national act. Their recent sold-out shows at the House of Blues, Viper Room and Odgen Theatre clearly demonstrates their ability to attract large audiences while generating strong revenues for both the venue and themselves. In March 2005, the Anix will release “Play, Dance, Repeat,” which will be matched by a national tour of the US, Europe and Australia.
