The Antidotes. A new band made up of old parts.
BOOM! go the drums as THE ANTIDOTES show starts. It is so exciting that you cannot help but cheer and scream in orgasm to the rock lords shredding there weapon of choice up on the golden stage. If you haven't seen a show before its OK, settle down, because this year, The Antidotes plan to play more than ever with newer and better songs that when heard, could cause instantaneous death due to their incredibly catchy hooks, undeniably crunchy guitar, rip roaring bass and thunderous drums that would scare even the mightiest of gods. It is these four elements that shape the music and form the band, The Antidotes.
Fronted by the amazingly talented Renee Lapira, The Antidotes started off as KSL (unfortunately) back in mid-late 2005 and have been doing very well ever since then. Constant gigging and recording has given the band the perfect skills and experience needed to write the music that they do and to have achieved what they have so far. The best part is they love every minute of it and would gladly play at your funeral if there music did indeed accidentally kill you at one of their electrifying shows.
Some of the bands proudest achievements have been sharing the stage with popular Australian acts such as GRINSPOON, FRENZAL RHOMB, PARKWAY DRIVE at the PUSH OVER 2006 festival. They achieved this by winning 3 battle of the band heats and a final. Since then the band has also won many more battles and shared the stage with plenty more awesome bands that your dads wet dream dreams about.
2007 looks mighty bright for the band. They have already recorded they’re debut album which is PACKED full of NEW songs, including some OLD favorites. You will be shocked, amazed and very aroused when you’re lucky ears get to sip upon the musical fine wine that is THE ANTIDOTES. So why not come to the shows described as fun, exciting and heart warming sometime soon? Because if you don't, the band will come for you and make you wish you had of lost your virginity to a spider.
