Join The Army

“Get to your gun by the light of the sun” as The Army prepares their musical assault on the rock-loving masses of the world. Hailing from Scandinavia in the Danish capitol city of Copenhagen, The Army is here for one purpose: to enlist into their ranks any and all who love rock music.

In a musical world dominated by synthesizers, programming and loads of autotuning, The Army thinks it’s high time to bring real rock back to the people; rock music created with lots of guitars, real live drums and killer vocal harmonies.

Along the musical lines of Them Crooked Vultures and Queens of the Stone Age, The Army’s sound was born with hard-rocking riffs also reminiscent of Smashing Pumpkins and integrates big melodies and vocal harmonies a la Queen.

The Army is comprised of four fellow comrades who are veterans of the Danish music scene. They are lead by vocalist/guitarist Christoffer Stjerne, an award winning vocalist who previously fronted Danish rock band Flavour as well as his own solo act. Chris is also an accomplished music producer and has worked with Danish artists Bianca Solveig, Barricades and newcomer Tine Lynggaard. He was recently a finalist on The Voice (in Denmark) and has been known to move solid objects with the power of his voice alone.

Joining Christoffer on lead guitars and backing vocals is his producing partner Søren Itenov. Søren enjoyed previous success in platinum selling Danish pop outfit, Johnny Deluxe, among many other rock projects. He knows every Zeppelin riff and is not afraid to use them. Not to mention, he’s been known to be able to grow a beard in less than a day!

Filling out the ranks are drummer Anders Kirkegaard, who does not as much play the drums as beat them into submission and last but certainly not least is bassist Lars Bolvig. Lars has played with Danish bands Sparklin June and Carpark North while Anders has played with The Storm and Celina Ree.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to become a soldier for The Army and help spread the word. Rock music is back and it’s here to stay. Thank you for joining, you’re in The Army now!
