Bio

The Arrangements are an Indie/Rock outfit from Co.Waterford, Ireland
-=================================================-
Officially grouped in April 2006, making their first public appearance in Paul Flynns, Waterford 20th April, followed by a support slot with UK Chart Toppers The Feeling in Whelans, Dublin, 2 days later.
-=====-
The following month saw the band embarking on a mini 5 date tour supporting Irish indie outfit The Flaws. Their music is a blend of Indie Rock with a good helping of pop sensibilities, blending the occasional synth/piano melody into the mix to adjust the colour and contrast. This is not a manicured pop affair, but a hard edgy infectious aural assault, with the rhythm section delivering a driving thunderously tight performance. Add outstanding emotive falsetto vocals, coupled with urgent lead lines, and you have a group packing one major punch.
-=====-
The Arrangements have a no-filler policy, and with an arsenal of hook-heavy catchy tunes, they are ready to make a major impact on the music scene.
-=====-
In November 06 they were picked as the local support (Waterford) on the 2FM 2moro tour, and in December their track Mr.Frazier was featured on the Coke-iTunes Irish podcast.
-=====-
January 07 saw the band being invited to perform a 2FM session for the Dan Hegarty show.
-=====-
With invites to the IMRO showcase tour, the National Student Music Awards competition and a video from Tisch/Hotpress, 2007 is set to be an interesting year for the band.

Bandwagon - Spotlight/Review 4 stars
-------------------------------------------------
[The Arrangments] play stripped down indie rock; all metrical drums and recurring riffs, with the odd guitar frivolity thrown in for good measure.
Chopped up articulation makes for pronounced vocals (and lyrics), almost Franz Ferdinand-esque, altogether adding up to brilliantly sharp and catchy tunes...
Theirs is a sound that instantly intrigues. They are hugely versatile and manage to go from sounding like Queens of the Stone Age to Urge Overkill to The Smiths all in a matter of a couple of songs, which in itself is pretty impressive. Their sound is appealingly commercial and is tempered with something a little darker, a little edgier.
It's certainly a change from the watered-down indie rock we are used to hearing. When it comes to blending pop melodies with rock, it usually means a watering down of the rock side, but The Arrangements seem to have taken some tips on mixing rock and pop from bands like Muse.
