"IMG Music Promotions, Inc."

"The Arrival brings forth a unique blend of rock and punk. The melodies are solid and greatly memorable. Lyrically sound and commercially viable these songs work well. Musically the band delivers the material respectfully and, although Christy isn't the strongest vocalist I've ever encountered, there's no denying her vocal presentation was persuasive enough to gravitate an audience. Furthermore, through the substance of the material and the purity and honesty of her tone, Christy's performance additionally awards The Arrival the essential edge necessary to draw the attention of the music industry." - [Reviewer Identification Number: 029-DDB; Date Of Completion: November 7, 2005] http://www.imgmusicp

"Eugene Sims – Host for Rock 92.3"

“On Wednesday, May 18th… I was the emcee at the Summer Sound Off happening at Ziggy’s in Winston-Salem. The big sponsor of that event was triadculture.com.

It was cool to be involved and I’m taking this time to thank the guys at triadculture.com. There were a lot of great bands and the two that stand out are The Arrival and [omit]. If you see either band playing somewhere, make the effort to check them out.

The Arrival has a kind of punkish new wave sensibility about them. They are an energetic band and they are as much fun to listen to as they are to watch.” - http://djeugene.blogspot.com/2005/05/led-zeppelin-song-remains-same.html

"J. Jameston– TC Staff"

"The Arrival combines punk rock, pop music and grinding guitar riffs to create a cutting edge sound that is poised to take the triad (and elsewhere) by storm. The combination of meaningful lyrics with a solid rhythm section, and tasteful dynamics; gives this Greensboro NC based band the elements needed to Rock their way to the top!" - http://www.triadculture.com [recently closed]

"Brian Clarey - Editor for Yes Weekly Magazine"

“We like The Arrival for a lot of reasons, chief among them the dedication of their first CD Just Another Freak In The Freak Kingdom to our hero, Hunter S. Thompson, but also their band bios. Drummer Billy Thompson’s bit says, “Billy soon became one of the most feared gangster-country rappers on the planet, which brought attention to several record labels such as ‘we’ll sign anybody records’”. Lead singer Christy’s is a bit more serious and her own myspace.com site has files of her singing show tunes like “Mein Heir” from Cabaret.” - Nov 30 – Dec 6, 2005 issue - Greensboro’s Ten Best Band Sites on myspace.com

-----------------------------------------------------------------

THE ARRIVAL is a four piece punk influenced rock band from Greensboro, NC. This hard working band has high goals in the industry and on average, play two shows a week and travel anywhere within a 3 to 4 hour radius. They released an album dedicated to the memory of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, entitled "Just Another Freak In The Freak Kingdom" in April, 2005 and toured the Southeast in May to promote it. Currently, they are working on their full length cd, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2006 and will be supported by an entire East Coast/Canadian tour. They are different from every other band, because all of their songs don’t fall into the same specific musical category. They take pride in being different and versatile with their music that includes meaningful lyrics, grinding guitar riffs, and a sound that ranges from melodic rock ballads, to technical progressive rock, to energetic punk.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The band is fronted by CHRISTY JOHNSON, who is a professional actress/singer/model, and can been seen in such films as TOBE HOOPER'S “MORTUARY”, and the “NATIONAL LAMPOON'S PUCKED”. She completed her MA from UNC-G in May, 2005. Singing ever since she could speak, she began choral training in the fifth grade, and went on to sing with the Gold Madrigals at Grimsley High School. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, and went on two international tours to Europe. In addition, she was the AMERICAN IDOL online competition WINNER for April 2004. She has an extensive musical theatre background, and is a National Junior Olympic GOLD MEDALIST in Karate and Speed Skating.

DONNIE NEAS plays guitar and sings as well. He has been performing and writing in bands since the age of 11. His past bands include “Quote Unquote” (Punk), “Someone She Knows” (Emo-Core), “The Steele Breeze Band” (Classic Rock), “The Function” (Southern Hardcore), “Nine Down” (Emo-Core), “Proteus” (Industrial) and has opened for such bands as “The Ataris”, “New Found Glory”, “Hot Rod Circuit”, “Minor Threat”, “Agnostic Front”, “Beefcake”, “Midtown”, and “Apocalypse Hoboken”. His influences range from A to Z.

STEVE LUCAS (bass) comes from a history of country music and blues entertainers. As a third generation musician, he chose his talent for metal, punk, and rock, including anything with an edge. A self – taught guitarist, he studies music theory in the styles of Kirk Hammett, Marty Friedman, and Randy Rhoads. Steve has been part of the NC local music circuit for years. Noticing a high demand for bass players, he formed “Claymore” in 2002, in which he dominated the bass with powerful attacks. He has a full length solo cd, entitled “The Year of Habitual Feelings of Hate” and several demos in existence. Continual experience with stage and studio work, has made him one of NC’s PREMIERE BASSISTS. His live rig consists of: SWR 750X Amp, SWR Goliath III 4X10 Cab, SWR Son of Bertha 1X15 Cab, Behringer Enhancer/Exciter, monster power and cables, Ibanez Soundgear, GHS Boomers, eyeliner, and pure madness. Sought after endorsements include: Mabeline, Trojan, Budlight.

“If my music career doesn’t pan out, there’s always porn, or maybe I’ll move out west where the men are men and the sheep are scared”. – Steve Lucas

BILLY THOMPSON plays drums. Born where the earth begins and the ocean ends, Billy had a hard time adjusting to the ways of humans. So he ran away into the woods where he was discovered by a pack of wild coyotes. Seeing his skills for rhythm he was quickly placed in the position of lead drummer at gatherings. As he grew older he worked on his talent and found a love for hip-hop. Billy soon became one of the most feared gangster-country rappers on the planet, which brought attention to several record labels such as "we'll sign anybody records". After reading this, he will have already been bankrupt (twice), arrested for a D.W.I and indecent exposure, burned down his mansion and come close to dying from an overdose of Children's Flintstones Vitamins. He plans to release a tell all book "A Life Less Lived: How The Arrival Ruined My Childhood", next spring.

All together, their mission is to influence versatility in music, a
