"Unsigned Band of the Month: The Arrival"

The story so far: All you bands who met while skateboarding after school, the Arrival trump you. "We've been playing music together since we were tykes playing pogs on the streets," says guitarist/programmer Chris Kustor. By 2005, they had a solid grasp of slammers and melodic pop ethos. The electronic-tinged quartet recorded an EP with producer Matt Goldman (Underoath, Copeland) and collected accolades-including a finalist spot in the MySpace/Verizon Wireless "Calling All Bands" competition.
Why you should know 'em: The Arrival blend legit pop with dance anthems without relying on tired, hipster formulas. "We aren't like those trendy, over-produced, electronic pop groups," says Kutsor. "We make you dance without singing about it." Although they recently released their addictive second EP, the Arrival know their live show is what'll grab you. "We'll get you so hype, you won't know what to do but bounce like a Super Ball," says Kutsor. "The 75-cent ones, not the small, 25-cent ones." - Alternative Press Magazine

Bio

The Arrival turned heads in early 2007 by releasing a set of self written, recorded, and produced songs that have a much more distinct, unique sound. Drawing on influences ranging from Justin Timberlake to Usher to The All-American Rejects, The Arrival shows off a sound so diverse with memorable hooks and arena sized choruses that fans of any genre can fall in love with. After a few months of touring independently, the band was picked up by The Artery Foundation Artist Management Group and The Agency Group. This enabled the band to tour steadily and to begin building a solid fanbase all over the country. After 6 US tours in 2008, the band is currently continuing to write and record new music as well as taking the stage all over the east coast.
